    Originally from Penticton, British Columbia, Jake started playing hockey at a young age. Jake has playing experience in the WHL and 8+ years professionally. Jake has 5+ years in coaching experience and currently is the Director at Battery Hockey Academy. Passionate about working with players and their families guiding them down the best path to reach their goals on and off the ice.

  • Joey Nahay

    FOUNDER/ADVISOR

    As a Columbus native, Joey grew up in a hockey focused family. The Hockey Stop was founded by his father and became the family's passion. Throughout childhood, Joey couldn't seem to stay away from the rink. During his career, he played for the Ohio AAA Blue Jackets and advanced to collegiate hockey at The University of Akron. Joey graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Criminal Justice and Conflict Management. While living in Cleveland, Joey had the privilege of becoming the director of the Canton-Akron Hockey Association and full-time skills coach for the Ohio Hockey Academy.

    Living in Columbus the last four years, Joey has worked with over three hundred youth hockey players.

  • Bailey Seagraves

    ADVISOR

    Bailey Seagraves will specialize in representing and advancing our goaltenders at Midwest Hockey Advisory. Bailey is the owner of Seagraves Goaltending which is the industry leader in goaltending development in Central Ohio. Along with his goalie school, He serves as the goalie coach for the Ohio AAA Blue Jackets, Columbus Mavericks, and various high school/travel teams and Director of Goaltending Development for the Battery Hockey Academy. He spent time with The Ohio State Buckeyes Women’s D1 hockey team as their goalie coach and helped them win multiple conference titles and the program's first national championship. Bailey has coached goaltenders from the AAA, Junior, NCAA, and professional levels.

  • John Siemer

    ADVISOR

    Originally from Los Angeles California, John has a wealth of experience playing in some of North Americas best junior hockey leagues. Over a span of three years John spent time in the USHL, NAHL, and the BCHL before heading to Northern Michigan University to play division 1 hockey. Following his collegiate career at Northern Michigan, John went on to play 3+ years in the ECHL and SPHL. John has 5+ years of coaching experience ranging from 8u all the way to junior hockey, including KHS Academy in Anaheim California. Currently John is the skills coach for the Jr Ducks organization and Optimum Hockey Academy in Irvine. John’s goal at MHA is to help players and their families achieve their long term goals as a student and as a player.
